Northwest Doula Conference

I had a great time at the NW Doula Conference last week. There was a terrific keynote on trends in the doula profession by Amy Gilliland, author of the blog Doula-ing the Doula; a talk on serving LGBTQ families; and one on marketing in the digital age.

Here are a couple of pictures from it. The one above is from a panel I was on moderated by Penny Simkin about different models of doula compensation. The one below is of the “doula speed dating” activity I helped to organize to help doulas meet others they didn’t know before the conference.
